Black Tide drops you on the deck of a battered sloop with nothing but a cutlass and a bad reputation. Chart open water between scattered islands, board rival ships for their cargo, and spend your plunder on a faster hull and sharper crew. A curse is eating the horizon from the edges in, and the only way to outrun it is to keep raiding, keep sailing, and keep getting stronger. Every voyage is a small gamble between greed and the tide running out.
