Storage, maps, sensors, navigation, apps, and recovery should keep working when the cloud does not.
Capability should remain visible
The interface shows state, apps declare permissions, radios release ownership, and destructive actions ask clearly.
Owners should outgrow the defaults
Documented packaging, expandable buses, and an app store turn a finished device into a starting point.
